About Me

Jesse and Jessica

Hey there! I’m Jesse.

If you’re a little slow on the uptake, this is my journal. I generally try to talk as little about technology here as I possible can (I do that at the blog) so that my parents actually read it every once and again.

I run my own web design company Plasticmind Design, and the Movable Type tips site Movable Tweak. I’m an advocate of clean, standards-based web design and I pretend like I know a thing or two about design when in fact I learned everything I know from Bob Ross. (God rest his soul.)

I’ve sometimes been called a walking paradox: the country bumpkin planted firmly in suburbia, the technophile who carries a moleskin journal instead of an iPhone, the folk singer who thrives on electronica. I am an unlikely blend of professions: web designer and associate pastor. When not confusing myself or others around me, I am an active, contributing member of the Movable Type ProNet community. I imagine myself as the calm, funny diplomat. How everyone else pictures me is anyone’s guess. Oh, and I killed Miss Scarlet in the Observatory with the Rope. (She had it coming.)

I call “just outside of Philadelphia” home and I’m happily married to a wonderful woman and really good cook. I love to litter my journal with all kinds of random stuff, so if you don’t find anything interesting there, you probably will tomorrow.

If you’d like to get in touch and won’t feel too bad if I don’t write you back for a few months, you can send me love via my online contact form: http://plasticmind.com/contact/.

Have fun storming the castle.
