The Good, The Bad, The Ukulele

Never underestimate the power of tiny guitars in large groups.

I just began scarfing up everything I could find by this, the Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain, and I came across this amazing piece called Fly Me Off The Handel. You have to listen to the whole thing; trust me, the end is worth it.

George starts with a theme from Handel. Peter joins in with Fly Me To The Moon. Dave sings Theme From Love Story. Kitty sings Autumn Leaves. Will sings Killing Me Softly. Jonty sings Hotel California. Hester sings I Will Survive. What do all of these songs have in common? Am-F-G-C-Am-F-E-E7. Enjoy:

And to end on humor the likes of which Victor Borge would enjoy: You Don’t Bring Me Flowers

(Thanks, David.)

[this is good]

I really like the Fly me to the Handel one. How they sat down and came up with that progression and which songs worked that way is beyond me.

That was awesome!
