Have We Got a (Slide)Show for You...

The cool temperatures got us itching to hack up a pumpkin, so on the way home from work today Jess picked out the sorry squash. She did the dirty work (gutting) and I did the fun stuff (face design).

Don't laugh. I'm a designer. I always draft before starting.

Then comes the sketch.

Our happy little pumpkin, oozing with cuteness. It may help temper things out a bit to remember that he'll be a rotten mess come December.

I didn't realize until just now that he looks like a distant cousin of Bob the Tomato. Paul the Pumpkin perhaps.

Yeah, 'cept we live on a thrid floor apartment where you have to buzz to get into the compound... I mean complex. So our T-or-T-ers will be close to none this year I'm certain.
