Mexican Tomatoes

Last night my wife opens a can of stewed tomatoes for dinner. I'm enjoying my burger when suddenly she nearly throws up, gulps big and starts making sucking noises with her mouth. Turn out they were tomatoes and chile peppers.

I fished the can out of the garbage.

"Honey, don't you think the sombrero gives it away?"

"I thought they were Mexican tomatoes!"

That must have hurt...bad!

Rule of thumb: Never buy canned veggies from the international isle without inspecting the label first! Reject the can if you need to know a second language before deciphering the contents!

I feel her pain! I made veggies one time and used a can of diced tomatos... upon later inspection, the can revealed the small green lettering: "with chilis". No warning sombrero though.

BUT, I did have to eat it with cottage cheese, PLAIN bread, and milk!
