Goodbye Edgar
It was quite a night for us 24 followers. Poor Edgar was just doing his job, checking on the girl who was murdered and then the inevitable happens... he's sealed out in the nerve gas and Chloe watches tearfully as he collapses and dies. *sigh* And he was such a good guy. It's a shame the President wasn't stopping by for a visit... And is Lynn (Samwise) out there in the nerve gas?
Quote of the night, by the ever-endearing Amy: "Is he a terrorist? 'Cause he's kinda hot. I thought they were ugly."

Ahh, poor Edgar. Tami and I were also sad to see him go. Samwise can go, as far as we are concerned. And about his keycard -- if governmental agencies actually store picture and access information on those things, we're doomed!
And who is the graying gotee'd stickman Kim is with?
I miss Palmer. Logan is a whining, good-for-nothing wuss. Was his prayer last week a subtle shot at Christianity?
And yes, we yell at the TV, too. :-)

Since Jesse and Jessica got my wife and I addicted to this show, we have been trying to view some of the previous seasons. (DVDs are a wonderful thing, eh?) The bad part to this is that we have two frames of reference to keep in mind: the current season we are watching and the past season being viewed via DVD. This causes questions like: "So..where is Nina in this episode and why isn't Jack beating her to death?" "No, Honey. That was season 1. We are watching season 5 tonight." Sheesh! We just cannot seem to watch them fast enough.
As I see it, the message to this mesmerizing show is resounding and clear: Do NOT mess with Jack Bauer! PERIOD!!

I had to record the episodes on Monday and got to watch them last night. I agree. It was sad to see Edgar go. He was a cool character. It was about time that we saw something more than a frown/smirk on Chloe's face. It looked as if she was truly saddened to watch Edgar die.
As for Lynn....I don't know. I kind of hope that he got gassed since it is basically his key card, (and overinflated pride,) that allowed the terrorists access into CTU. Had he simply reported it stolen 3 episodes ago, this would be a non-issue. (Not to be too technical but, would it be standard procedure to allow full access cards to remain active while a person is in "holding?" Hmmmm.)
Other than that - Dawn and I are totally addicted to this show. (We wacthed the first season on DVD last weekend and have already placed season 2 in our Netflix queue. Long evenings yelling at the TV are fast approaching!)
