Why We Hate God

Because we must face truth. We must procure a reason for our fear, for our weakness. He does not settle for lies or convenient phrases, but for TRUTH - truth so pure and so stark that self in never comfortable. And the real truth is that we are utterly without hope. So our hatred is abated because while His demand for truth burns like fire, His offer of grace gives us our only hope.

i have been asking god to bring back my husband and he has not yet answered. if the answer to every question is in His own time and sometimes the answer is No, then i think that i could be God as well.. becos every question could also be answered by me that way... it just leaves everything upto chance. i dont believe that there is a god anymore.. its just something that we humans need to make us feel safe..

I agree with your respones, "in his own time" or "sometimes the answer is no" is a bunch of crap. My wife and I have been trying to start a family for almost 3 years. We were active in our Church, attended weekly, prayed daily, worked with our parish's teens, and volunteered in various other ministries. Yet we see happy families in our neighborhood who belong to our church but never attend. I disagree that God doesn't exist, rather that he is a heartless jerk who claims to be just but simply chooses to ignore many of his closest servants and followers. I once asked a cleregy member why God caused Katrina to hit New Orleans and he said it was the sin of man that caused it. I didn't realize that my use of foul language, the husband cheating on his wife, and the kid shoplifting at the local 7-11 caused the storm to hit...I must have missed that in meteorology. It's just a double standard when it comes to god in order to explain what a heartless piece of crap he really is.
