Shores of Grace

The sound of gentle morning woke me
From a night of painful thought;
Dreams beneath the sea of darkness
Swirling upward brought

A weakened soul to sweet cessation,
Resting on some distant shore,
Warming under skies of mercy,
Safe forevermore.
